Welcome!
Hello and thank you for stopping by! I am Jacki, and this blog is a collection of my favorite travel photos, as well as a place where I share my photography and editing tips with you.
I was born in Pensacola, Florida in 1977, and spent the first 3 months of my life there. My dad was in the US Navy, so I grew up a military brat. I think this is where I got my love of traveling from. We never lived anywhere for very long, and took many epic family adventures together.
I don't remember anything from Guam, but I do know I lived there until I was 3 years old. I love listening to all of my parents stories about living in the jungle.

After that we moved to West Virginia. This is where my sister was born.
After Hawaii we moved to Florida, taking the most awesome cross country trip ever from California to Ohio, then down to Homestead, Florida. I remember it all. The Indian reservations. Sitting in the back seat of our station wagon coloring and playing Barbies with my sister while our parents talked to truckers over the CB radio.
Florida was a fun three years of Everglades, beaches, manatees, and sting rays.
Then we come to the best place ever to live as a young teenager. Scotland! Now that was an adventure. All the castles, Scottish Highlands, scones, and tea!
Fast forward several years, and I found myself living in Virginia, graduating from college with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and a desire to once again travel the world. So I moved to Denmark on a year work visa. I met my now husband. We married, moved back to the US, had a daughter, and now live in a small town 36 miles outside of Washington, DC with an every growing collection or rescue dogs, ponies, and the occasional exchange student.
And as you can see, I am carrying on the tradition of taking epic family adventures. All of which you can read here on this blog.
